ABOUT

"A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one."

- William Shakespeare

Being a generalist in any field has far many advantages compared to being a specialist, especially if you are in a leadership role or are an entrepreneur. Leadership is mostly about connecting the dots in a big-picture context, and multipotentiality helps in that regard as it helps one to look at things from more than one perspective. It also helps in connecting with people of diverse mindsets and world views. And it removes any awkwardness from striking up a conversation with total strangers!

Fortunately enough, I have been able to make good use of a wide variety of opportunities that came my way in my career and in my life in general. This has helped me develop a multi-faceted and versatile skillset ('T' shaped skill set), that spans across a variety of interests and competencies. Amongst these, design stands out because it hasn't just been a passion for me, but the area in which I have happened to work the most as well. Design and design thinking approach has had a big influence on how I approach and solve problems.
